In loving memory of Richard R. Holtz
9/3/1942 - 2/26/2018

Location: Boise, Idaho

Richard R. Holtz (Dick), beloved widower of Patricia Hall Holtz, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Monday, February 26, 2018 at the age of 75 of natural causes. While Dick had survived many years battling his Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, his death was unrelated.

Future plans are to lay Dick and Patty to rest together in the Holladay Memorial Park in Salt Lake City, UT in ceremony with Patty’s family. Holladay Memorial Park is located at 4900 S Memory Ln, Holladay, UT 84117. Services have now been set for Saturday, September 1st, 2018 but the time of day will not be settled until August with the cemetery. Dick and Patty's anniversary and Dick’s birthday were Sept.3rd, as well as Dick's parents anniversary. If you would like to attend, please let us know and we will continue to update you on our plans and more arrangements.

Our father truly lived an incredible life with many experiences, accomplishments, and travels and he shared his life openly and fully with those he connected to in his amazing journey. In lieu of flowers, the family would love to have your heartfelt letters, memories, and mischievous stories of your time spent with our father by contributing on this website, by mail, or personal email. Dick was a wonderful storyteller and we would love to have more of those memories to cherish for all time and we are certain we have not heard them all.

With our deepest expression of gratitude, we wish to thank his family, friends, & colleagues for your love, friendship, and support of our father through his lifetime. Please know that he loved & cherished you as well. We also wish to add heartfelt thanks to all of the doctors and caregivers of both Dick and Patty during their fight with both Cancer and Alzheimer’s diseases. Thank you to Relyea Funeral Chapel for providing cremation services. To everyone, all of your care, concern, and services made a difference for all of us. If anyone should wish to donate in Dick or Patty's names, we believe appropriate contributions could be made to: St. Luke’s Hospital, Boise; Cancer Research Institute, NY; Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, NY.

Thank you and God Bless,
The Holtz Family
