Age 69, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Friendship Village in Dayton, OH. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Oldham; children Eric Jones, Kim Jones, Sherri Alexander, Todd Davis (Faith); seven grandchildren; brothers, Jeffrey Davis, Charles Render, Delbert Render, Melvin Oldham, Jr.; longtime companion, Donna Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jonathan graduated from Dunbar High School in 1965, Central State University in 1970, and the University of Dayton in 1991. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 South Broadway Street, Dayton, OH 45402 on Tuesday, November 1 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer Foundation of Dayton at alz.org.
