Mom - light of our lives - had a radical startling supremely out of the blue diagnosis of the rare aggressive cancer - acute myeloid leukemia (AML) - literally going from healthy to Holy Cross hospital to hospice in a week.
Gayle Batty Murtishaw passed 8/5/19 - 2 days before her 83rd birthday - a week after going into hospice.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm at Riderwood Chapel at 3140 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904, with inurement at a later date in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Gladbrook, Iowa.
