Anne Wilson Childs Williman (63), died Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through decades of a valiant battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Anne was born on May 21, 1953 in Greenville, SC to Richard and Marcia Childs. Anne was a graduate of Worthington High School and Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. During her college years, she met her sweetheart, Jon Williman. The couple was married on August 31, 1974 at Central College Presbyterian Church, Westerville, Ohio.

Married for 42 years, Anne & Jon raised their 3 dear children, Amy, Joe, & Jesse in Old Fort, Bellefontaine, and finally in Middletown, Ohio. As a woman of faith and passion, Anne homeschooled her children, was a participant and leader in writers’ groups, Bible studies, Cystic Fibrosis support groups, and homeschooling organizations. Anne’s strength, courage, and tireless Christian example, shaped her family and positively impacted all those around her. Anne was a successful, often-published author. Major publishing houses and magazines printed her 2 historical-fiction books, 1 non-fiction book, and over 700 articles.

Anne and Jon always shared their home with furry companions; she loved her dogs. She also enjoyed all things educational, making unusual museums must-see stops on extensive family travels.

Anne was preceded in death by her Father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Robert E. Williman, and Eva G. Scott Williman, and a nephew, Brett Everett Childs.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan Lynn Williman; Children and Partners, Amy Janelle and Alan Durst, Joseph Austin Williman and Nichole Lockhart, and Jesse Justus Williman and Alex Reuthe; Grandchildren, Titan Asher Durst & Torin Isaac Durst (due November 2016), Jason Joseph Staggs & Austin James Williman, and Raelynn Gale Williman; Mother and Father, Richard Austin Childs and Anna Marcia Daub Childs; Brother and Sister In-Law, Austin Springs Childs and Deborah Wildman Childs; Jon’s Siblings and Spouses, Ralph and Janet Coffman, and Stephen and Martha Williman Cousins, nieces, nephews, more family and loving friends, too numerous to name.
