This memorial was created in honor of Dorothy "Grammy" Lee Low Imlay of Saint Joseph, Missouri. Dorothy was born on March 15, 1922 in Kansas City and passed on April 1, 2018. Dorothy was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

Dorothy L. Imlay

Dorothy Lee Low Imlay was a kind and loving person. She always had a warm welcoming smile on her face. She enjoyed volunteering at Hosea Elementary School, which she did for many years.

Dorothy was well known for helping people. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone and would never complain about it. She also enjoyed her evenings sitting on her front porch swing, drinking a coke and watching the sun go down. When it got too late shed head inside for some Golden Girls before bed.

Every year, Dorothy absolutely loved planting her garden with colorful Petunias.

This woman was always on the go, she would jump in her mercury cougar, and go wherever her heart desired.

She enjoyed having company and sitting around sharing her childhood stories. There wasnt a time in her life that we didnt know her to have a cat or two. She was quite a people person, she could sit and talk for hours, sometimes not knowing who the person was, but treating them like she knew them her whole life.

Most of all, she just loved being around the ones she loved! No matter what you were doing together, as long as her loved ones were there, she was happy!

What can we say, she was just an amazing woman who will be missed dearly, and loved forever. Her heartwarming smile will never be forgotten. There will never be another. We love you so much Grammy.
