Oh my dear friend, I sure do miss you. You were a rare bird indeed! Your friendship was such a big and important part of my life. It was the kind of friendship that comes along maybe once in a lifetime if your lucky – maybe only once in a hundred lifetimes! You were so loyal. I loved that when we were talking about important stuff, I never had to say “please keep it to yourself” because it was never a question – I could tell you anything and it was always safe. You were so loving. Your relationships were the most important thing in your life and I know you thought and worried about your people all the time. And you were so giving. We all laughed more about how hard it was for you to spend money even though you were never going to run out. But we all know you would and did give the shirt off your back if a friend was in need. You loved us deeply and fiercely. Self-deprecating is another word that comes to mind. You knew your faults and made fun of them. Sometimes coming across as funny and ditzy, but you were very smart, quick of wit, and wise. I’m thinking of some of the life issues you dealt with, seriously and always passionately whether it was a golf bylaws dispute (low gross must be recognized!) or dealing with property or taking care of a friend’s stuff. You were my mentor and my faithful friend. I wish I could have been there for you more than I was. I am so very grateful for your friendship – it will be with me always. I love you.

Barbara was a very sweet lady and dear friend to my mother. I was always in awe of her creativity and spunk! She was an incredible artist and will be missed! I pray her friends and loved ones find peace in the Lord Jesus during this time of grief.

Barbara was so fun to be around. Full of life and flair and it was always reflected in her wardrobe and home décor. She loved to entertain for any occasion, be it a barbeque or formal dinner. There was never a dull moment around her. Many hobbies kept her busy. During the years we were friends she enjoyed golf, skiing, tennis, gardening, and of course her art. She could spend hours outside tending to her plants and trees and visiting with her koi at the pond she created for them.(Just beautiful.) Travel was another of her favorite things she enjoyed to do with her family and friends. Barbara was very generous in life and took on many responsibilities to help those in need. She was indeed a good example to me. I will remember her fondly and miss her always. Rest in peace my dear friend.
