The Girl Who Wore Pink -by Rachel Reitz

A baby was born in Girard, Kansas on March 3rd, 1940. Pink baby colored skin coming out of the womb and entering the earthly world. In Jeremiah 1:5, the Lord said

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart.”

A mother holds her baby and the warmth of immeasurable and infinite love and heat radiates as pink skin to skin electrifies through the heavens and touches the souls.
The baby is clothed in pink to signify her beautiful God given gender. Pink rosy cheeks on a soft baby skin smile. Through the gain of life and loss of a loving touch and in death leading to new pathways...

Ecclesiastes 11:5 says “Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mothers womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.”

A little child in a big world. A bag packed and a baby doll in hand she went to her next location. Arriving with blushing pink cheeks of shyness, An aunt and an uncle and a new home in Carthage, Missouri.

Matthew 18:10 says “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”

As the wind blew, and the fire heated, a child’s spirit was unbothered, running and playing with feet planted on God’s green grass and surrounded by a big wide open sky..A flame jumped out and caught her dress. Her soft, perfect skin turned pink. Her angels were near and called upon God, Just as in Jeremiah 30:17

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after"

Months turned to years, just as the seasons change and the trees shed their leaves and die and then become new. A girl who had blushing pink cheeks and a crush and a first love to restore a broken spirit and the path of love that led to leaving the past behind.

Another love that led to Dallas Texas, in which became marriage, followed by the ultimate blessing of all, a life being delicately created inside of her, and the frightening thought of bearing children soon dissipates in love.

God explains in 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Each precious child she bore was a gift from above, held with loving arms, pink skin to skin and pink rosy cheeks of a physically exhausted yet ultimately blessed mother as she was the vessel of the creation of God, and could not imagine a love larger than that of what she felt in that moment.

Intense love..God given protectiveness to adequately provide nourishment to her babies was always the driving force. God explains in Ecclesiastes 9:9

"Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun."

The bottoms of her feet pink in standing, her fingertips pink in typing, and her tired eyes pink in color, from the multiple jobs she worked, night and day, to the motherly feeling of guilt of having the pressure to provide for her children and be a strong woman in the workforce.

Pink lipstick to cover her lips to feel empowered and strong.

Pink skin from the warmth of holding her grandbabies as they lie in her arms as she rocks them in her pink chair.

Pink carpet for dogs running, children playing and her family being reunited.

Pink ribbons for cancer fighting and being proud of surviving to see another day with her loved ones

Pink flowers through her hands so graciously nurturing them to grow

Pink scrapes on children and grandchildren she so delicately nursed with care and love

A pink tongue sticking out for her silly nature

Pink hearts that represent the love she felt

The color pink on her toes to see during her final weeks while laid up in a bed

Pink palms of hands holding hers from loved ones in the end

Pink butterflies to signify how she always managed to overcome what was happening in the world around her and to her body as she dealt with burns, heartbreaks, diseases, and sickness.

John 1:1-3 Jesus says “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

It is written in Revelation 7:9-12 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

And revelation chapter 19:11-14 says And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And in chapter 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And while you're up in the clouds in the heavenly realm with ultimate peace with our God, we will look at a pink sunset and always remember what the color pink means to us, because it represents you.
