Hey Wayne,
Thank you. After many years away from the truth I showed up at the hall one year for the memorial snarling, angry determined to put Jehovah to the test. I left immediately after the prayer and sprinted into the parking lot. I heard a brother running behind me out of breath, trying to catch up and calling to me. You see, I had prayed to Jehovah before the memorial and told Him that " if one elder runs after me then I will know you still love me". You ran after me Wayne. You sleep now. Your in Jehovah's memory and He will not forget your fine works.

SUBMISSION FROM KEREN IN GEORGIA:__I met him several years back through Ella T and Deborah B (S....)when he was serving in Georgia. I remember him to be such an encouraging, loving, and hospitable brother. When my Mom died the brother who gave her memorial talk spoke of her as being on Jehovah's sleeping train waiting until the time when Jehovah will awaken her in the resurrection. Soon Jehovah will awaken Wayne and all our loved ones. Until that time comes may your warm, loving memories of Wayne stay strong as you picture welcoming him back in the resurrection, off of that sleeping train. May Jehovah comfort you and pour out his holy spirit upon you as you endure his loss. Philia love, your spiritual sister Deborah B....

SUBMISSION FROM COUSIN STEVEN IN NEW YORK:_
One of the best times of my life and fondest memory of Wayne was when I stayed one summer with Uncle Jim & Aunt Betty, Wayne & Jeff in the Pasadena home.
I had never thought of the full-time ministry as something to consider, until Wayne showed me how enjoyable and rewarding it could be.
Sometimes he would take me in the ministry early in the morning, doing street witnessing, then later we would preach from house-to-house, and in the afternoons, he did Return Visits and Bible Studies.
I think he was a Regular Pioneer.
He really helped change my view of the ministry. Jehovah used Wayne to influence me toward life in the full-time service.
I don't think I ever told him about that.
