Rest in peace my friend, I will always cherish the memory of watching you work on your red trans am and me trying to be helpful, who knew nothing about cars, you were always kind to me. You always made me feel welcome and everyday would ask "Are you coming Tomorrow". The car got done and you moved away, you will always have a spot in my heart. Thank you for that, you just accepted me for me , and I will cherish that forever.

from Jeanette Rekow,
I remember when your parents came to visit and took me and my husband out to eat one evening. We sent you kids off to bed, but instead you opened the register above the kitchen to listen to the conversations below. When we left, you "peed" down thru the register. Grandpa Edward Rekow was watching you kids at the time. He was surprised to see the water running from the ceiling.

I am Penny,Dennis' wife, when we lived right in Gresham, in our first house,
Darrell stayed with us a few times during deer hunting. He was always so good to us and brought us steaks. We enjoyed having him in our home. He also enjoyed teasing our kids. The steaks were wonderful.

Darrell didn't always do things by the rules. One time he was by us deer hunting and he wasn't supposed to have a gun and so he bought a license under the name of one of his brothers. Well Darrell shot a buck and I went in along with him to register it and when he was all done with the paperwork he needed to sign his name and that was what he did, he signed his name instead of his brother's name. I said that you can't do that and so he wrote his brother's name over the top of his and everything worked out fine.
