JAMES JORDAN SNODGRASS
1941 – 2017
James (Jim, Jimmy, Snoddy, Papa, the boy) Jordan Snodgrass of Hamilton Colorado, went with God on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at the age of 75. Jimmy is preceded by his Sister Iola McCauley and survived by his children Jamie Lorraine Snodgrass, Sara Janette Standing and James Thomas Bingham Snodgrass, his Sisters Alice Henderson and Linda Harold, 6 grandchildren and too many friends and acquaintances whose lives he positively impacted to count. Jimmy was born August 2, 1941 to James Jamieson Snodgrass and Lucy Janette Snodgrass in Alamosa, Colorado. He earned his degree in geophysics from The School of Mines in Golden, Colorado where he participated in the R.O.T.C. program. As an Army First Lieutenant, he served in Korea. He worked in the oil and gas industry briefly and retired from The Bureau of Mines working on mining technology, safety and clean-up. Jimmy loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and any other active outdoor recreation and work. He loved being a Dad and always believed in the importance of family. Jimmy never met anyone who disliked him. He was a gentle, generous, funny, positive, thoughtful and overall incredible mentor, surrogate father to many, Dad and friend. Please join Jimmy’s kiddos for dinner and a celebration of life on April 14, 2017 from 5:30pm – 9pm at the Center of Craig in Craig Colorado or on April 23, 2017 at the Clubhouse at Indian Tree Golf Course in Arvada, Colorado.
