My deepest condolences. I truly look forward to the time when God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, outcry, and pain, just as it says at Revelations 21:3,4.
It is comforting to know that soon we won't have to worry about losing our loved ones.
But what about the ones we have already lost? Like, dear Nick?
Well, the Bible confirms that there is going to be a resurrection- Hosea 13:14. At John 5:28, 29. Jesus says “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”
Yes, God will surely remember Nick and he will resurrect Nick to a paradise earth, where there will no longer be any sickness, death, pain or sorrow.
Isaiah 26:19 - (The dead will live again)
Isaiah 33:24 - (No more sickness)
Isaiah 35:5,6 - (More Hope to look forward to)
