Charlotte Virginia Douglas Beasley, age 80, passed peacefully December 2nd, 2015 Jacksonville Florida.
Charlotte was born Feb 21, 1935 in Adrian Georgia, daughter of the late Gordon Brown Douglas and Minnie Lee Webb Douglas.
After her marriage on October 7th, 1951 to her high school sweetheart Patrick, they resided in Savanna Ga, Brunswick Ga, Jacksonville Florida, Melrose Florida and settled in Ft McCoy “Hog Valley” Florida.
Pat, her husband of 61 years passed on July 25th, 2013. At that time she moved back to Jacksonville with daughter Rita to be close to her family.
Charlotte was a hard worker, respected co-worker, and supervisor for many years at Anchor Glass retiring in July, 1993. Charlotte was a wonderful woman and mother cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, husband Patrick H. Beasley, brothers Pharoh and Gordon, sisters Tincey and Marzell, and son-inlaw Thomas Hamilton.
She is survived by her brother Waymond “Buddy” (Elizabeth), sons’ Pat Legrand
(Jamie) Vaughn (Leslie), Anthony “Tony” and daughters Deborah Learner (Jerry), Charlotte Verita “Rita” Hamilton. Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately with the immediate family.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to community hospice of NE Florida or your favorite charity in her name.
