This memorial was created in honor of Anita D Giblin of New Castle, Delaware. Anita was born on July 26, 1942 and passed on January 14, 2018.

My mother was an amazing woman who was always there for us as she raised 4 little boys into men. She was imaginative, supportive, creative, insightful, compassionate, and yet incredibly strong.

When I was 10 years old and after her 4 boys were born, she really wanted a daughter and considered adoption, and in preparation for this joined the Foster parenting community. Although we started out with a young girl, this decision led her into 20+ years of being a foster parent to over 100+ displaced children, with the overwhelming majority of them being boys, and was honored as foster parent of the year on more than one occasion.

She is survived by 3 sisters (Carole, Linda, and Marian), one brother (Henry), 4 sons (Scott, myself, Marty, and Brian), 6 grandchildren (Scott, Shaun, Eric, Christina, Michael, and Kylie), and 3 great grandchildren (Anthony, Serenity, and Brentley). She was my mom, the person who guided my through troubled times, and is the person who is the inner voice that I look to when I needed counsel. Although I know this loss will affect me in so many more ways than I can express, I am happy that she is now free of the pain and challenges that she faced here on earth and look forward to seeing her legacy in those that will continue to make her proud.

Anita was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

Can the dead really live again? "There is going to be a resurrection"-Act 24:15, God is eager to do it again. Jehovah hates death; he view it as an enemy. [1 Corinthians 15:26] He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live again. - Job 14:14,15.

Dear friend, I am sorry for your lost. I know losing friends and family can be hard. But just knowing that you have the Father of all comfort by your side can help you not go through this alone (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). Thank you and I am sorry for your lost.
