Terrence Lee Walker, affectionately known as T-Bone was born June 3, 1963 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Helen Walker and George Hearst. At the age of 3 years old Terrance was diagnosed with a childhood cancer, retinoblastoma. Retinoblastoma is a cancerous tumor that grows in the back of the eye. The surgeons removed his eye and he immediately started radiation treatments. Terrance was not expected to survive. 50 years later the cancer returned. He peacefully passed away on March 1, 2017 at 12:30 am.

T-Bone grew up in the West End. He attended Heberle Elementary School, Bloom Junior High School and Taft High School. As a student in elementary school, he ranked #1 in the country on his scholastic achievement aptitude test where he was honored with an award. As a result of this achievement, T-Bone often referred to himself as “T-Bone the Genius with the papers to prove it”.

Terrence accepted Christ at the tender age of 6 while attending Good News Missionary Church. He was very inquisitive about the bible as a child, that he was gifted a bible from the church signed “To the Little Preacher”. As an adult he was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and in the last months of his life he was under the spiritual guidance of his friend and pastor Harold Glenn Jr.

T-Bone was a remarkable electrician by trade. He was truly gifted with many other talents as well, especially the gift of gab. He was intelligent, witty, fun, funny, serious, adversarial, and strongly opinionated. He was also an advocate and very passionate about what he believed in. He became well known on the radio, as he was an avid caller to The Lincoln Ware Show. T-Bone loved to debate and he would debate with the best every day.
T-Bone was a diehard Bengals’ fan. He loved his Sunday football. He loved eating shrimp fried rice. He also loved listening to Reggae music. Before losing his hair to chemotherapy, he loved his dreadlocks. He loved his family and friends and he absolutely loved his grandson Zontae. Terrence is preceded in death by his parents Helen Walker and George Hearst; two daughters Antonia Walker and Ree Carol Booker; one son Donte Booker; one granddaughter Re’asia Booker and one sister Rosalind Anese Curd.

Terrence leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 22 years Carol Booker-Walker. Four children; Tyshara Walker, Michelle Booker, Rochelle Booker and Bryant Booker. Three grandchildren; BJ, Jashawn and Zontae. One great-aunt; Carrie Smith. Two brothers; John Walker of Indianapolis and Michael Walker. Two sisters; Allie Lavizzo and Sharon Walker-Dixon (Jerry). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of loving friends.

Services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at St. Mark AME Church (9208 Daly Road/Cincinnati 45231). Visitation will begin at 10:00am with service to follow at 11:00am.
