Jennifer Hope Shortt, age 63 passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28th, 2017, at her Oregonia home. She was born June 16th, 1954 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Bob and Goldie Prater. She was a loving wife to her husband, Frankie Eugene Shortt for 47 years. “Jenny” worked as a devoted manager of Baker Group Home, where she spent 33 years assisting and caring for the developmentally disabled. She was dearly loved and often referred to as a “second mother” by her residents and co-workers. Those who knew Jenny will not forget her generous heart, and infectious smile that would light up the darkest room. She was loved by all that had the privilege of having her in their life
Jenny is survived by her husband Frankie Eugene Shortt (Oregonia, Oh); children Kristeen (Jim) Fisher (New Vienna, Oh); Frankie (Lisa) Shortt (Oregonia, Oh); grandchildren Tara Hitte, (Hamilton, Oh), Christina Hitte (Lebanon, Ohio), great grandchild George Perez, her sisters Sandra Speaks and Toni Dotson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Goldie Prater, sister Inky Baker, brother Michael Prater, daughter Tonya Hitte, and son in law Vince Hitte.
This memorial was created in honor of Jennifer Hope Shortt of Oregonia, Ohio. Jennifer was born on June 16, 1954 and passed on November 28, 2017. Jennifer was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
