Rodney Max Sherod,69, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 in a one vehicle accident in rural Fayette County.
He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Penny (Vanscoy) Sherod; His two sons, Rob Sherod and Jennifer, Ronnie Buzzell and Terri.
He also left behind five grandchildren Josh, Russell, and Emily Sherod, Nicholas and Abby Buzzell; His two sisters, Charlotte (Sherod) Gilbert and Mary Jean (Sherod) Bell and Chris;
his brother Randy Sherod and Bobbie; and many nieces, nephews, Cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents Max Edwin and Brucille (Hopkins) Sherod.
Rodney is a veteran of the Vietnam War, He served three years with Army Infantry. The discipline and patriotism that he learned was a
small part of the great man he was.
Services will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 6:30pm at Redlion Lord of Glory Church
