Evelyn Rosetta Curry, Age 76. Was born in Brook Port, IL to Albert
Stone and Alma Jones (Starks) on April 8, 1941. She moved to Dayton
as a teenager and attended Roosevelt High School. She worked at Good
Samaritan Hospital as a supervisor in the housekeeping department for
25 years.
Evelyn was a faithful member of Good Samaritan Church for over 40
years. She truly loved her pastor and church family. As a member she
served on several committees including the decoration, Pastor’s aid, kitch-
en and outreach ministries. She faithfully volunteered at the House of
Bread monthly for over 10 years through the church’s outreach ministry.
She brought love and laughter to the entire church family and all those
she was able to service in her ministry work.
In her last days she looked forward to the birth of her great grandchil-
dren (Omari, Avalynn). She held on as long as she could, but the struggle
became more than she could bear. Therefore, the Lord decided to call her
home to be with Him on March 7, 2018.
