Harold Dean Hancock, 74, of Trantham Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at his home in Lexington, North Carolina.
When Harold was born on November 29, 1942, in Carroll County, Virginia, his father, Garnett Hancock, was 23 and his mother, Eula Akers Hancock, was 20. He married Phyllis Christine Roberts in 1962 in McDowell, West Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Christine, sons Allen and Rodney, and daughter Judy, brothers Jimmie, Fred, and Bobby, sisters Mary, Lorene, Stella, Ruth, Nita, and Belva Jean, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Linda Kate Grubb and Doris Marie Hancock, and son Nathan Hancock.
There will be no public services.
