Violet "Vi" Isabel Ouellette was born on June 7, 1928 and passed on August 17, 2013. Violet leaves behind a loving husband, Joe; five sons, Michael, Kevin, Dan, Mark, and Jeff; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph, sister, Doris, son, Denys, and daughter, Betty Jo. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of meeting her.

I will miss Grandma Vi so much. She always made sure I knew I was a very special person, precious, destined to do great things. Her love for me was unconditional. I could do no wrong in her eyes (which was great because I am far from perfect!). Through her life and love for me I learned how God looks at me - with Grandma's kind of unconditional love.

I am thankful I will see her again in the future because she made Jesus Christ her Lord and knew God raised him from the dead. Because of that she too will rise up one day to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord (paraphrased from Romans 10:9 and 10 and 1 Thessalonians 4). That is where my hope rests. I'm so thankful I will see her again someday.
