Rocco R. Muzzipapa, 91 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died on May 7, 2017 at the Union Printers Home. He was member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.

Rocco was born in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey on July 25, 1925 to Rosario Ross and Katherine Lucy (Santoro) Muzzipapa. He was a veteran of World War II.

As strong-willed as he was kind, Rocco was a man of simplicity and true honor who remained devoted to his faith until the end. He was filled with generosity and charity on top of wit and wisdom, which so many cherished.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor E. Muzzipapa.

Rocco is survived by his children, Rocco R., Jr., John A., Stephen S., Joseph W., Anne I., and Christina M. Muzzipapa; his sister, Rosemarie Muzzipapa-Mapp; grandchildren, Nathaniel J. (Lisa), Eleanor E., and Gina D. Muzzipapa, and Annie (John) Orleans; great-grandchildren, Matthew R. and Heather N. Muzzipapa, and Ashton and Megan Orleans; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. (2017, Springs Funeral Home obituary).

Grandpa has been there for all of us through the years, I remember all of the times grandpa would pick me up from school, we would sometimes stop by Walmart or the Bank We would always listen to Glenn Miller's music our favorite songs are Chattanooga Choo Choo,Don't Sit Under The Appletree With Anyone Else But Me,and In The Mood. Grandpa would always sing Tex Beneke's part and I would either sing Marion Hutton's or Paula Kelly's part. We made heads turn every time we dance to In The Mood. To this day I still listen to Glenn Miller's music.
