In loving memory of Larry Hitchcock

From the time they met through a friend, "Larry" (the nickname Mom gave him), and Norma "Cud" (known for her cuddling), fell deeply in love. For nearly 60 years they were inseparable, always together whatever the challenge was in their lives. They taught their 3 children Gary, Greg & Pam to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, and lived a life above reproach gladly declaring their love for their savior. They have been an inspiration to their family and friends for 6 decades, and have won the hearts of countless friends in the community in which they lived. Dad said good-bye to this earthly house on June 19th, Fathers Day 2011, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer Disease, but he is the winner, having now seen the one that died to save him so many years ago. Larry & Norma...a life well spent!

Current Memories

From: Greg Hitchcock Wednesday, October 7, 2015
One of my favorite memories of Dad were our fishing & "shoot'in" trips on Saturdays. We didn't really hunt, we just shot our 22 rifles at cans & bottles at the Strip Pits in Boonville. Also, Dad was always making fun things for us to play with. One day he brought home an old "go cart" and fixed it up for us to ride in the yard, field, or down the newly poured Diamond Avenue Expressway that wasn't opened yet. My all time favorite was when he got me a pony at an auction in Kentucky! We didn't have a truck to haul it, so he pulled it "sideways" into the back seat of his "Woody Station Wagon" and the poor thing just stood there till we got home. We named him "Sam" and I loved rid'in him through our back meadow until the police got a complaint that he was eat'in the neighbors flowers! Dad loved his children deeply, and did everything he could to make our lives full and happy with the simplest pleasures he could afford. Love and miss ya Dad. See ya in heaven!!!
