I remember Fr. Stockhausen's heroic and successful efforts to get UDM back on track financially. He was a very warm and wonderful man-- and one of the smartest and most competent people I have ever know. May he enjoy eternal life with his Lord and Savior-- who he served ably and faithfully.

I remember listening to Father at one of our Convocation at the beginning of the school year. I remember him telling one of the funniest jokes. I used to think that all priests were very serious until I met Father Gerry. He was warm, friendly, and funny. I will miss him. May Father Gerry rest in heaven his new home

I remember the moment when President Stockhausen first greeted me by my name at UDM – I was surprised he knew it. It was just a passing hello at the Fisher Building - a friendly “Hi Jon”, before I had even fully looked up to see him. It was lovely and sunny that day; I think it was spring. It was a memorable boost to my self–esteem to suddenly realize he knew me at all.
