I was just watching a video of Elan that was taken a few days after he had his circumsision surgery. It was so funny because he was looking at the 24 Karat Magic video by Bruno Mars and was trying to dance and snap his little fingers while sucking his pacifier. It was sooooo funny. I still love and miss our little angel so very much! I must say thank you Lord for blessings us with all the memories and videos we have of him that will last forever. We will forever be blessed.

Elan or E as I called him most of the time. When I think about E, I smile. When I look back at the videos, the pictures I remember everything from the first time I met him until the last time I saw him. Just a few memories about our little angel: When I think about how on Friday or Saturday it was my job to comb out his hair and condition it after his bath. I can still feel the texture of his hair and the feel of his scalp. He would sit there in his chair, preferably with a snack while I combed, brushed and conditioned his hair. Afterwards, it was like he knew he was looking good. *** I remember whenever E would be standing near the kitchen or dining area and he'd see you get up with your eyes on him, his first instinct would be to make a shift move like you were about to run after him so he'd fake like he was going to run to the right or the left. He had one route that he always ran when you chased him and that was through the kitchen, around the dining table and down the hall. Then he'd turn back and run the same route and we'd act like we were trying to catch him as fast as we could. He'd be laughing so loud and running all along the way. *** I remember one of the 1st times he went outside with us to play in the yard. I gave him a little stick to play with and directed him to hit the shrubs. He was hesitant about his feet touching the grass and at first he didn't want to step on it, just like he avoided stepping on the mulch. It was clear that he didn't quite know what to make of either the grass or the mulch. Then the shrubs, it was clear that he wasn't sure how they worked because he barely poked them with his little stick as if they were alive and would poke back. But after a while he started to swat them and the tree and he would go "boom" every time. Then when he got up the nerve to swat the shrubs with his hands it was always "boom" "boom". Then he'd laugh and hit them as if a joke was just told.

Every Friday a text would go out saying "the baby eagle has landed". This was a text sent by my sister/Elan Godmother or my brother in-law/Godfather that Elan is at their home. Everyone would go to their home after work and also on the weekends to see Elan. We would all play with him, help feed and care for him and of course, there were always videos and pictures to be taken. Everyone in the family knows that Elans favorite music artist is Bruno Mars...yes that's right Bruno Mars and that his favorite songs are 1)24K and 2)That's the way I like it. No matter what E is doing, whether it's going to sleep or playing if he hear either one of those songs come on he stops, and is ready to get on the floor to start dancing. And of course whenever the videos are played everyone in the house will stop and sing and dance along with him. This is why when our sweet little angle passed away these songs both played in the background in his memorial. I know, totally unconventional but E was a totally unconventional baby. He was so special and loved by everyone who met him. Everyone would say, there is just something about E. So now we can say, if you ever want to know what a real baby angel look like. Just take a look at Elan. And if, Bruno Mars music can be played in Heaven. I have no doubt that E, his mother and Jesus are all dancing to it right now. Tee Tee is what he called me and I want him to know that Tee Tee will always love our littlest angel.
