John J, Glynn, Jr. passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 80 at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson, NJ. John was born and lived most of his life in Bayonne, NJ and last worked for the City of Bayonne as a senior citizen transporter until he retired in 1997. He later moved to Jackson, NJ and lived there for several years until he and his wife Frances moved to Howell, NJ. John was always a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He always made everyone laugh with his endless supply of jokes. John and Fran enjoyed many tropical vacations over the years and especially loved Florida. He was always there for his family and enjoyed helping them with many projects at home - and to our advantage could never sit still and we are forever thankful. He will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Frances Schultz Glynn (and their beautiful cat Fluffy), his step-children Joseph Napolitano and his wife Fran, Cynthia Napolitano Garrison and Lisa Napolitano Geerin. "Pop" will also be missed by his grandchildren Melissa Napolitano and her wife Tanya, Timothy and Kelly Geerin and Gregory and Danny Garrison. He was also great-grandfather to Autumn Sage Napolitano.

Viewing will be at the Lakewood Funeral Home, 6250 Route 9 South in Howell, NJ on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:00-7:00 pm, with a service at 6:30 pm. John will be cremated and at a later date he will be brought to Florida, his favorite vacation spot, and spread in the beautiful waters of Florida that he loved so much.

Although very thoughtful and generous, the family requests that no flowers be sent. If you wish to do something in his memory, please make a donation at the charity of your choice.

We wish to thank everyone in his life that were there for him and enjoyed life with him, and especially during the time of his declining health, as well as all of the love and support that have been given to our family while we were taking care of him. We also like to thank the Lakewood Funeral Home for their compassionate and comforting assistance.

This memorial tribute has been created compliments of the DiCostanzo family owned, Lakewood Funeral Home. To return to our webpage for further information, please visit:
