Andrea Marie Evans, age 52, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017 following a long illness. She was born on October 20, 1965, in Toledo, Ohio the fourth child of five born to Marge and Ted Yambor. She attended grade school at St. Joseph’s in Sylvania, Ohio. She is a 1984 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. Andy studied art for one year at Miami University.

Andrea and her sister Julie moved to Cincinnati in 1989. She worked at Clovernook Country Club for 13 years. Andy married Ken Evans on September 4, 1992 and lived in the Mariemont/Fairfax area for the past 25 years. She was quite athletic; her favorite sports were golf, softball and tennis. Family and friends all knew of her great love for art, crafts, cooking and serving at her church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Yambor in 2001. She is survived by her husband Ken, sons Adam and Andrew; her mother Marge Yambor of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Jenny Schnapp, Julie Multon (Denis), and Mara Agosti (Doug); brother Ted; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Marie Evans of Fairfax; sisters-in-law Michelle Evans-Reynolds (Ben) and Kimberly Hembree (William); brother-in-law Danny; nieces Julie, Caitlin, Taylor and Sydney; nephews William and Simon; and great-nephews Gavin and Derek.

The family is grateful for all who attended to her while she was in Jewish Hospital’s critical care unit and in hospice. A special thanks to Pastor Denis Beausejour and his staff for all their love and support. Also, so grateful to God for sending my friend Cynthia Slagle, who kept vigil with us.

We will be celebrating Andrea’s life with a memorial service at Mariemont Community Church this Saturday, October 28, 2017. The service will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the historic chapel located at 6713 Cherry Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45227, which is just west (near Chestnut) of the main church. Following the service, an informal dinner will be served at the main church reception area located at 3908 Plainville Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45227 (about a block from the church). Memorial contributions may be made to Mariemont Community Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. A number of friends have requested to send flowers. If this is your desire, please contact H.J.
