Visitation at 11 am. Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm on Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel at Young Lusain Funeral Home, 2060 Germantown Street, Dayton, Ohio 45417. This memorial was created in honor of Timothy Henderson of Dayton, Ohio. Timothy was born on May 8, 1963 and passed on February 27, 2018. Timothy was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
Timothy W. Henderson, Sr., age 54, was born on May 8, 1963 in Lynch, Kentucky to the late Anna D. Henderson “Bootie” and Otis Garner. He resided in Dayton, Ohio more than 32 years.
He was educated as a Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic and was owner and operator of Tigley’s Automotive. Timothy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in Jesus’ name. He was a member of Valley Peace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jackie Robinson.
Timothy loved his children, grandchildren and the Lord. He would often say “I love my pastor”. He was a very skilled mechanic who was knowledgeable on just about everything concerning cars. He worked on many cars and was well known around the City of Dayton. On Tuesday, February 27, 2018 Timothy W. Henderson transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents. Timothy leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his legacy; his four children; Shumeka, Lakeyta and Timothy W. Jr. Henderson all of Dayton, Ohio and Riccardo Henderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Cook and Sharon Crosby; six brothers, Douglas, Curtis Sr., Roger, Jeffrey, Terry and Michael Sr., Stewart; mother of his children, Kennia Wilks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
