Maria Enriqueta Rivas joined our heavenly Father in eternity on November 10th, 2017. She is at peace with her son, Nathaniel and others who she loved and went before her including her grandfathers, an aunt and cousin and friends. She is survived by her mother and father, Ruth and David Rivas and siblings including Melodie Greene, Abigail Langley, Harmony Rivas, David Rivas Jr. and Angel Rivas, her grandmothers, Enriqueta Rivas and Mary Peavy and several very special aunts, uncles and cousins who adored her sweet and positive spirit. She battled Lupus related issues for over 20 years and make no mistake, she won. Her optimism and profound love for everyone continues to echo in the hearts of those of us who knew her personally. Friends would say she had a great sense of humor and loved God with all of her heart. Family would say she was loyal, protective and forgiving. Her impact will be felt the rest of our lives and in lieu of flowers our hope is that you will help advance the research of Lupus related diseases by making a contribution to the Lupus Foundation in her honor.
