Waters, Roderick Wayne, age 62 of Birmingham, AL, died on July 13, 2017. Homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Rising Star A. M. E. Zion Church, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. James Rutledge, Jr., officiating. He is survived by three children DeAndre (LaQueta) Clay, Jamekia Freed and Tywann Wade; three sisters Betty (Otis) Crane, Florence (Robert) Griffin and Patricia Waters all of Birmingham, AL; one aunt, Faye L. Travis of Birmingham, AL; one uncle Josephus (Lacesene) Lanier of Cleveland, OH; one grandchild, DeAndre Clay, Jr, of Birmingham, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. W. E. Lusain Funeral Home is directing. Viewing on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 6-7pm.
