This memorial was created in honor of GuruofDiablo "GuruofDiablo" Unity of Sanctuary, International. GuruofDiablo was born on January 1, 1958 and passed on August 16, 2015. GuruofDiablo was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

Guru was the leader of Phoenix of Unity and Hydra of Unity Clans in the realm of Diablo 3. He also served as the officer of Unity League Community, an independent gaming community of close to 3000 members from around the world. He was a highly respected and treasured member of our family. Guru's passing is a tremendous loss to all of us as a community.

Guru truly cared about our clans and clan mates very much. He lead both clans and our community with unparalleled compassion, dedication and enthusiasm. He went far and beyond to ensure we, as the best D3 community, always uphold the Unity Values of fellowship, teamwork, dignity, respect and helpfulness. Thanks to his leadership and mentorship, both Phoenix and Hydra Unity Clans emerged stronger and more accomplished than ever before.

Guru had a strong natural sense of justice and responsibility. Guru stopped at nothing to battle against injustice, dishonest behaviors and anything that would undermine his beloved community. He inspired clan mates to always do the right thing in the Unity way. Guru deeply cared about fellow members with sicknesses or disadvantages. With him, nobody is left behind. Guru, why must you leave us now?

Last time we had a chat Guru was excited about HOU and POU performing well, and he was looking forward to playing Season 4 and being able to have fun with clan mates finally. A routine finish with "peace g man" and "be good s" turns to be our final interaction on this earth. It's so hard to believe or accept that Guru is no longer with us.

Even toward the final hour, Guru had our community's welfare in mind, and managed to ask his daughter to take care of clan matters.

Guru, wish you rest in heavenly peace without any worry. Unity will always remember you. We will never forget you, dear friend. We will carry on your will and memories.

Please keep Guru's family in your thoughts and prayers.

I never played much with you Guru, but your positive attitude with regards to the community you wished to establish within Diablo was always heartfelt and will always remain a special community for me.

May you rest in peace

Bob (Guru) was an amazing person and a close friend, he was more to me then just some one I played a game with. He was a true friend. He helped me to fight my personal health battles, and should not have been taken from us or his family like this. Bob, i will miss you my friend.
