Public Viewing will be on Saturday, Jan 27, 2018 at 11am at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 24th St. North, Birmingham, AL.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, Jan 27, 2018 at NOON at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 24th St. North, Birmingham, AL. Interment will be at New Grace Hill immediately following.

Roberta Amison Battle, affectionately known as “Bae” was born in Kemper, Mississippi on April 29, 1926. She departed her earthly tabernacle on January 21, 2018 at Princeton Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Emma Crockett and Floydzile Amison. Roberta was also preceded in death by three Sisters and four Brothers.

Roberta confessed Christ and was baptized early in life and united with the local church. She later moved to Birmingham, AL where she met, married and was devoted to Jim “Dick” Battle who preceded her in death. To their union, the Lord blessed with four Sons.

Roberta was the epitome of God’s Amazing Love, loving and caring for all she met. She was a doting Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Memories of Roberta will be cherished by her four Sons and Daughers-in-law, George (Janice), Jimmy (Phyllis), Joe (Towonda), Emmett (Ernestine); two Sisters-in-law, Lille Ruth Granger, Epps, AL and Arithena Brown, Livingston, AL; God-Daughter, Edna Schotborg, St. Hollis, New York; A very dear Friend, Dorothy Mack; Eleven Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other relatives & friends.

Professional services are provided by W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory.
