WILLIAMS, Evelyn M (Turpin) Age 78 of Dayton passed away September 26, 2017. Born December 2, 1938 in Winston, KY to Pryse and Opal Turpin. Proceeded in death by her parents, brother Roger and niece Terri. She is survived by siblings Net, Wayne (Jane), Joy, her children Tammy Ware, Harold Long (Tracy) and Penny West-Hagan, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Trotwood Madison and Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She worked and retired from Dayton State Hospital. She was a retired medic from the USAR (SFC) serving our country for 23 years. She had many interests to include sewing, porcelain doll making, cake decorating, needle point, took flying lessons, attended classes at Sinclair CC, was a member of AMVETS, American Legion and VFW. She attended St Joseph Catholic Church of Dayton. She enjoyed participating in the Singles and Mingles group sponsored by Bethel Christian Church and the Women’s Coffee Club of St Paul UMC. Visitation is Wednesday October 4th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with service immediately following. Interment at West Memorial Gardens 6722 Hemple Road, Moraine. The family would like to extend their appreciation to her care givers at The Sanctuary and Hospice of Dayton Comfort Care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Paul UMC Food Pantry 101 Huffman Ave, Dayton, OH 45403.
Service will be held Monday, October 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with service to follow at 10:00am.
This memorial was created in honor of Evelyn M Williams of Dayton, Ohio. Evelyn was born on December 2, 1938 and passed on September 25, 2017. Evelyn was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
