Mr. Willie D. Turner, Sr., age 97 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. A native of Homer, Louisiana and a Dayton resident over 70 years.

Willie was a retired employee of General Motors after 38 years of service. He was a member of Greater St. John Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 50, Dayton, Ohio and a WWII Army veteran.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Froney Turner; late wife, Golda B., sons, Bruce, Willie Jr. and Michael; daughter, Lynette and five brothers and three sisters.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory children Betty Hall, Patricia Hill, Kelvin and Floyd Turner, Florence Detra Babalola, James (Beverly), Wendell (Yvette), Kenny (Nedra) and Norman (Joyce) Daugherty; Rhena Anderson, Twanita (Jason), Augustine and his wife Bobbie. Several grandchildren, 4 generations of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, very special nephew, Sam Jackson and many relatives and friends.
