KELLIE (DELANEY) BERRY 60

Kellie Jayne Berry, aged 60, passed away March 30, 2017 after a struggle breast cancer. Kellie was born January 07, 1957, in Cincinnati Ohio, the daughter of Viola and the late Bernard DeLaney.

Kellie was always beautiful, vibrant, and full of life. She had a delightful smile, was warm, and kind. Kellie grew up in New Richmond, Ohio with her two sisters and seven brothers. She was talented in art and music. Kellie graduated from New Richmond High School and attended Shawnee State. Kellie became part of the Berry family in the 1970’s and raised two daughters in Georgetown Ohio with the late Rick Berry.

Family and friends were Kellie’s passion and delight. She loved to cook, host and entertain. She led girl scout troops, car pools, and was a cheerleader for her daughters at every event. She was adored by her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She opened her home and heart to anyone who was in need. She is known by many as a great friend and source of support.
In addition to raising her children she worked with the special needs population. Her passion to help others inspired her to return to school and become an Optometrist Technician. She worked in the Optometry field up until she became ill.

Kellie is survived by her mother Viola DeLaney, daughter Ricka’ Berry, granddaughter Amaya, daughter Rochell Edwards (Steve), granddaughter Keeira, grandsons Kameron and Jarell, companion Michael Golding, sisters, Victoria (Jim) Brown, Lillian Mills, Anita Commodore, brothers, Steve Platt, Edward (Deborah) Platt, Stuart(Dee) DeLaney, Stacy DeLaney, Duane DeLaney, David (Lee) DeLaney, Terry DeLaney and David Mills, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a number of other relatives and close friends. Kellie was preceded in death by her father, Bernard DeLaney, her sister Ginger DeLaney and brother Dale DeLaney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen Foundation. The family wishes to thank all for their love and support during this time.
