For Tari and family,
Patsy and I wish to express our sympathy and prayers of support. As we remember our loved ones, we pray the Lord will welcome them and we are thankful for sharing our lives with those we have lost. We are sure that Gary's legacy and love will continue to live among all of you.

Gary Glenn Vaughn, 83, passed away January 19, 2021, in Streamwood, Illinois.
A private family memorial service will be held with a memorial picnic to follow next summer.
Gary was born September 26, 1937, in Corydon, Iowa, to Velma and Glenn Vaughn. After serving in the Army he met and married the love of his life, Kathleen Alma Summers, in 1967.
Gary was a man of many talents and worked in a number of careers during his lifetime. He loved fly fishing, Chicago sports, and his family. He will be remembered as the leader of his family, the fixer of anything broken, the master of the barbecue, and the generator of endless “dad jokes”.
Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen; daughters Teresa (Patrick) McDermand and Lisa, and sons Glenn and John; beloved grandchildren Haley Vaughn, MacKalen Vaughn, and Aurora Perkes He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Velma Vaughn and sister, Sherrie Hursey.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. charity.gofundme.com/gary-vaughn

I will exalt you, Lord , for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. You, Lord , brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit. Sing the praises of the Lord , you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.” Lord , when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed. To you, Lord , I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: “What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness? Hear, Lord , and be merciful to me; Lord , be my help.” You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever. Psalms 30:1-12
Bless you Gary, see you in heaven. I was blessed to know you here.
