Bro Wale, in the words of a mutual friend, you were an energic and jovial person. I remember how you helped me shop for and test drive my first car. You always had people's best interest at heart. My parents, whom you welcomed and treated as yours during their first visit to Australia, think of you fondly and send their tributes too. Bro Wale, only God knows why He called you home so early. I am glad we had a chance to chat before you left and i will keep that memory close to my heart. Rest in Peace dear friend and brother. You will be so very much missed.

I got to know Davinci when we were at O.A.U Ile Ife. Although our friendship was a late Bloomer, but his demeanor and inner spirit was so cordial that we kicked off the friendship instantly. He would do and say certain things, that would make me wonder if we had known each other since childhood. Fast forward to the Western hemispheres, Davinci would call me, and I would response with a text. And anytime I did that, he would call again. He taught me that calling and hearing someone's voice was always better than a text message. Davinci would always lift my spirits with his phone calls. He would say something in this line ( look at your shinning and robust cheeks). He would say it so convincingly that you would wonder if he could actually see you. Davinci and I had not talked in almost 8 months, so this past June, I called his phone and it went to voicemail. Unlike the man I know, he would have called back, so I sent him a text with an apology for not having called him for a long time, low and behold, he sent a response apologizing for not having called as well. His response was" I have been a little strong, but I am better now" and he concluded his text with "Life is delicate" (All in Yoruba). I am going to really miss you bro. I mean that. I love you, and I pray that the good LORD will send continuous favor, mercies and love to the entire family you left behind. Because of one man, God can seize rainfall, so because of you, God will let his face to shine upon every member of your household in the name of his son Jesus Christ, amen. Leyomah.
