Karen was an inspirational individual in the city of Rochester. I was fortunate to interact with her in number of her many important jobs/roles and she was so passionate, fair and insightful to advance the best ideas. She was a pillar n our community.

Nancy Morgan Tobin I am so sorry. We have so many wonderful memories of times together. She was such a force for many good things.
Manage
Nancy Morgan Tobin And we loved her and felt so sad for the way her last years have been. So unfair. Talked to Tammy this morning. She, Tom and Sara plus Becca’s family will join us for Thanksgiving. Love to your family.

Bruce Rockwell: Your mother was a dynamic leader and a person of deep faith. I had lost contact with her (she succeeded me at the Diocese of Rochester) but always felt that I left the Diocese in very good hands because of her many gifts.

Donald B Hill: We send our condolences to you and your family! I worked with Karen often when I was rector of Trinity Greece. She was committed to the work of the church in helping others, and find ding ways to help and advise congregstions, clergy and lay leaders to be active and creative in ministering to their communities. She and Tom became friends as well as colleagues. We entrust her into the ocean of Gods love, light and healing.

All who knew her admired her strength, intelligence, and commitment to core values and institutions. A lover of the fine arts, higher education, civil rights and caring government, she is reunited now with her love, my wonderful step-father of blessed memory, Rev. Thomas L. Hanson, Jr.
