I called him David. He never corrected me, so I kept on. But to me, his name was 'My Hero'.
OK, I drove our Jeep down a 'steep embankment' right after a Christmas party at Dave & Joyce's. Ron was a bit intoxicated, the Denton's served him 'Moonshine'! We're from Chicago. That ain't right!! George is a witness!!
I got a ticket; fought it....because the 'STOP' sign was down from a previous incident. Ron was so helpful, he tried to 'Right' the sign before the cops got there.
Oh, yeah...I was exonerated, 0 blood alcohol. That was a miracle, right there. I was the DD. We take that seriously, we don't 'Drink and Drive'!!
David drove me to pick up my Jeep. He drove, hugging the inside lane, not Chicago style.
He was there, when I needed him. Always!
