The Good Team... and now my son has his "Baby needs a break" and I have a feeling he gets it from me... you know, how you would always hum to the tune of L-A-Z-Y... all of those historical vacations you took us on, from Gettysburg to Mt Vernon and beyond... reasons that keep me on the East Coast for Devin, the easy access... riding in the back of the station wagon in NYC, feeling like the people in the streets were in the car with us... watching the people watch the plastic bag get caught in the tree, so unaffected... getting areas only to realize they were closed -- Statue of Liberty, lighthouses, etc... just our luck... arguing with your hot headed granddaughter over women's equality and why do the damn guys always get fed first??? Those damn uncooked biscuits that I loved. You giving me a hard time about being a vegetarian, yet hungrily devouring whatever 'weird' food I cooked... that amazing month I lived with you guys while I was still in Georgia... the Virginia Living Museum.. you visiting me in Georgia, sweeping my back porch.. going to the aquarium.. how much you loved Milla... telling me you could pass either after I turned 30 or got married... telling Mom you were a little afraid of me (HAHAHAHA)... all of those letters over three years, you keeping my stamps and stickers, hell, your stamp collection... the twinkle in your eye when you said that I may even be able to sing (implying I could do anything but become a rocket scientist. That always made me mad, lol)... April Fool's Day jokes, calling you up and pretending to be someone else... your delusional self in the hospital thinking Dan and I were pulling the wool over your eyes.. (whatever that means)... you kicking us out as soon as we arrived, bwahaha... all the parties.. when you fell off the steps and I was able to do there.. how you told me I could cheer grandma up.. the reiki sessions and getting stuck in that bunion... the last 3 weeks of your life.. It's been a helluva ride!

Dad always said that I would laugh at his jokes even if no one else did. Dad, I am your best fan. You will always bring a smile to my face, even through the tears.

Wally was just the best. On Christmas Day he would have the door closed to the living room where the Christmas tree was located with all the presents. He would be on the other side "being Santa" as he spoke a few words to the children.
Every year I would get an empty Coke can from him as my gift. ??

So many to choose from...
Wally helping Matthew pick his first flower (well, weed) for his Mommy.
The grilled cheese sandwiches made in the toaster.
The BEST pancakes EVER!
The couponing "tricks" he shared with me
Sharing my own frugal finds with him
Wally would sing "Back to School" and "School's Out" each year when school got out or started up for me.
Wally telling Rita to shut up in the car when we were all going somewhere together
...so many more.
