To God be the Glory for Lynn's life!
Lynn and I became friends in first grade and as we grew so did our friendship. Before we started high school, Lynn wrote the following words in a letter to me. "I know we'll be in different schools and we will make new friends. We will both have our own thing but let's get together, once in a while, because our friendship is too precious to loose."
Approximately three years after writing that letter, Keith Green, a young Christian song writer and pianist came to Pennsylvania to share His love for The Lord and The Gospel message in concert. Lynn and I went to the concert together. I remember that evening very clearly. As Keith shared the Gospel, Lynn’s heart responded. She gratefully received God's invitation of salvation and love. From that moment on, she was changed. Her relationship with her Savior, both knowing Him and making Him known became her desire! Keith never charged admission to attend his concerts. He wanted everyone to be able to come. To help cover costs, a free will offering was taken. Lynn quietly took her wallet from her purse, opened it up, and emptied all she had into the basket as it went by. Her spontaneous gesture of giving was evidence that she was holding nothing back. Her face glowed with joy at the start of her new life with Jesus! That relationship continues as she is now with her Savior and has the assurance of eternal life as it is written in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting Life!"
