John Clifton Gallien, 69, of Houston, TX, succumbed to pneumonia at Regent Care Center of the Woodlands on December 15, 2017.

John (Clif) is survived by his son Tymon Gallien, step-daughter Vokisha Samuel, brother Joseph Gallien, sister Marie (Gallien) Seasar, two grandsons Liam and Ayden Gallien, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. John (Clif) was a loving father and though he could be difficult at times he was a good friend to those he considered friends.

John Clifton Gallien was born to Clarence Gallien and Pearl Jean Gallien on April 3, 1947, in Opelousas, Louisiana. He moved with the family to Houston, TX where he attended and graduated school. John was inducted into the Army November 14, 1966, where he took part in the Vietnam War. He returned home to marry Cynthia Samuel and was employed as a long haul truck driver for a number of years. At a later date he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with dementia and some years later suffered a stroke which contributed his already deteriorating condition. John enjoyed shooting pool, spending time with family, and watching old western movies but, most of all, he loved spending time with his son.family.
