ROCKFORD – Robert Warren Curry, age 82, of Rockford formerly of Prophetstown passed away peacefully from the arms of his wife into the arms of Jesus on Friday March 18, 2016. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bob was very helpful and willing to help where he could. But what mattered the most to Bob was Jesus. He showed God's love to all and was as giving as he could be.

Bob was born on October 23, 1933 in Prophetstown, IL to Warren and Laura Curry (Nuelle). Bob came to Rockford in 1958 where he worked as a carpenter and handyman. There was not much he could not fix. Bob served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a B-52 Bomber Tail Gunner. Bob was also a member of Liberty in the Spirit Church.

Bob married Susan Davis on August 17, 1991. They were married over 24 years.

Bob's memory will be cherished by his wife, Susan M. Curry; sons, Brian Curry, Dale (late Cindy) Curry, Craig (Debbie) Curry, Kelly (Angelique) Curry, Keith (Dawn) Curry and John (Laura Quintanilla) Davis; daughters, Debbie (Matt) Brown, Lori Curry, Joanna (Tim) Schultes, Angela (Matt Howes) Davis; brother, Verne (Jo) Curry; mother of children, Mavis Curry; furry friends, Max, Neil & Mister; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents, Warren & Laura Curry; brother, Loyal Curry; grandparents; and many aunts & uncles.

Memorial Service to be held Thursday March 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at Liberty in the Spirit Church, 1815 W. Riverside Blvd., Rockford, with the visitation from 9:30-10:30 am. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
