My deepest condolences. I truly look forward to the time when God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, outcry, and pain, just as it says at Revelations 21:3,4.
It is comforting to know that soon we won't have to worry about losing our loved ones.
But what about the ones we have already lost? Like, dear John?
Well, the Bible confirms that there is going to be a resurrection- Hosea 13:14. At John 5:28, 29. Jesus says “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”
Yes, God will surely remember John and he will resurrect John to a paradise earth, where there will no longer be any sickness, death, pain or sorrow.
Isaiah 26:19 - (The dead will live again)
Isaiah 33:24 - (No more sickness)
Isaiah 35:5,6 - (More Hope to look forward to)

I am so sorry for your recent loss. Grief can be extremely difficult to deal with. We look forward to the day when death will be no more as promised by our Heavenly Father. Until that time it helps to know that we can turn to God because He cares about how you feel. He comforts us through his word. He wants you to reach out to him and pour out your heart to him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
• God feels for you in your pain.—Psalm 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7.
• God patiently listens to the prayers of his servants.—Psalm 86:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
• God misses people who have died.—Job 14:13-15.
• God promises to resurrect the dead.—Isaiah 26:19; John 5:28, 29.

To the Family Ellison,
John was my advisor in Library School. He is the best!! I remember many spirited discussions (over email) about everything it seemed. He always challenged me to do what everyone else was NOT doing. For that, I will be forever grateful.
John, you will be missed.
Matt

Dear Katie,
Jehovah God did not create humans to live short lives and eventually die. His purpose was for us to live forever in a beautiful paradise earth, unfortunately because of Adam and Eve’s sin, we die (Romans 5:12). However, Jehovah promises us at Revelations 21:4 that “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore”, all these things that take away our happiness will be done away with. Jehovah God promises us life without end in perfection on a paradise earth! Please look forward to that wonderful time in the near future.
