Aunt Diana will be so deeply missed by the ones who have had the blessing of knowing and loving her. She'll always have a special place in my heart. Aunt Diana was very thoughtful and reflective about her relationships with people. Her deep sense of family love, old and new, was never ending. She made a napping quilt for Leo, my son, when he was born and a handkerchief shaped in a baby bonnet with a message/story that he was to use it on his wedding day, among many other keepsakes. There was always a lesson to be learned or secret message to unveil in her introspective gifts. One of my fondest memories of Aunt Diana was during her early teaching years. We were out at the Birch Bay beach house and she sat in a rocking chair; all the kids sat around her, eyes glued, while she read Tikki Tikki Tembo, by Arlene Mosel (I'm a teacher too so had to include author.) I can still recite the song lyrics to that book.It was a tongue twister! She will never be forgotten.
