Jesus taught that someday "all those in the memorial tombs" will be resurrected. (John 5:28) Jehovah is the Creator of all life. Should it be hard to believe that he can re-create life? Of course, much would depend on Jehovah's memory. Can he remember our dead loved ones? Countless trillions of stars fill the universe, yet God knows the name of each one! (Isaiah 40:26) So Jehovah God can remember our dead loved ones in every detail, and he is ready to restore them to life.

I offer my prayers and comfort to all who are bearing the loss of this good man - my Uncle Don. Debby, Don and David, my cousins, my prayers are with all of you. He lived a good long life, and clearly had a significant impact on others. I plan to be at the memorial on the 21st to honor your dad. I also offer my heartfelt sorrow to Isa and her children who honored and respected my Uncle Don. God's blessings on each of you as you say goodbye to your loved one. We have this hope: "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." 1 Thessalonians 4:14

My heartfelt condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort through the loving memories of your beloved Donald. May you also look to our loving Heavenly Father, the God of all comfort, to provide what you need at this very sad time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4, Psalms 83:18). He promises us that very soon, "He will wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Revelation 21:3,4, Isaiah 33:24. What a wonderful promise! Can you imagine a time on earth when there will be no more sickness, pain or death? May all of God's promises give you a measure of comfort, peace, hope and strength. I have personally found very comforting thoughts on jw.org.
