Location: Caldwell, Idaho

Ernest Thomas Sarver better known as "Tom", passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 due to complications from a stroke.

Tom leaves behind his wife, Jean; his daughter, Carrie; his son-in law, Joel; his granddaughter, Nicolle and his beloved dog Mae.

Tom was born and raised in Little Rock Arkansas and at the age of 18 joined the United States Navy and served 3 years. Upon returning from the Navy he moved in with his parents who had since moved to California. In 1953 Tom met Jean at a western dance hall and the two were married in 1955. After that Tom went back to school and in 1963 received his degree in "Doctor of Dental Surgery" from Northwestern University in Chicago. Tom and Jean moved back to California after Tom's graduation and in 1964 their daughter Carrie was born. That same year Tom started his dental practice which he was very successful in. He was an exceptionally good dentist with a gentle hand. Tom retired in 1989 and in 1997 he and Jean moved to Idaho to be closer to family and his granddaughter. In 2002 Tom and Jean moved to Caldwell and built a home next door to their daughter and her family.

Tom had 3 major passions, aviation, golf and reading. In the 70's Tom received his private pilot license and he loved to fly to different golf courses or fly to a favorite restaurant just to have lunch. Even while in the hospital Tom spoke passionately about owning his own jet. Tom was also an avid golfer, he played golf courses all over the US and loved playing at Eagle Hills with the "Crew". He would spend weekends watching golf on TV. In his spare time you could always find Tom reading a book, he loved to learn and he had vast knowledge in anything to do with history.

The family will be having a private memorial, so in lieu of condolences, cards, flowers etc. the family asks that donations be made in Tom's name to the West Valley Humane Society 5801 Graye Lane Caldwell, ID 83607 (208) 455-5928. Tom had great compassion for animals and was always feeding the birds and squirrels on his property and giving treats to the horses next door, the family feels giving to the humane society in his name is the best way to honor this unique man.

"If a man dies, can he live again? [Job 14:14] Can a lifeless person who is sleeping in death be brought back to life? The grave will be emptied. All those billions who rest there will live again. The apostle Paul said: "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". Therefore, you can look forward to seeing your dead loved ones again! Jehovah God will resurrect them.
