I am so grateful to have known Merrilynne at such a vital time in my life. Reading others’ memories delivers a kind of hug-punch only M knew how to deliver and then it’s as if she’s still around. She was often the first face I would see at joyous occasions in my youth as well as some of the worst moments to lend comfort. Whether present daily or not, she was always family and always made me feel loved and cared for. I am eternally thankful to M.

Merrilynne was a memorable part of my life. She had a fun streak like my mom which is probably what drew them to each other. I remember taking mom to work where Merrilynne worked as well. Every time I would drop mom off I would get to hear Merrilynne's words of wisdom in only a way the she could give it. She impressed me with her devotion to the pioneer ministry. I admired her for that and for her straightforward manner. I can't wait to see Merrilyne in her perfect form and vibrant personality very soon.

When it comes to my very favorite memories of Merrilynne, they aren't exactly things that I can share publicly. (And if you know Merrilynne's mischievous streak, you can probably guess why. ;) ) What I will share is that knowing and loving Merrilynne has a profound effect on your life. She's one of those people who was so full of life, joy, and love that it's hard to comprehend how all of it fit into just one body. Merrilynne loved and lived for Jehovah with every fiber and she loved people (especially Michael) that same way. She was strong and loyal and fearless and never gave up. Her example taught me that being a spiritual person doesn't mean being a cookie-cuter person. I can't wait to hear her laugh and make millions more mischievous memories for all eternity.

Merrilynne, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Your genuine way of showing your love (a little punch in the arm, a sarcastic remark, a dirty look) was so unique and a memory, I will always cherish. Some of my first memories of this beautiful couple was their love for each other and how they could always break it down on the dance floor. See you soon my beloved friend. Maria L. Yaran

M thank you for always being willing to join me on a study, no matter the day of the week nor the time of the night… I remember calling one time on a Monday night around 5:00pm and you got changed and joined me on my 6 o’clock study. You said Michael told you, “one of us should go out preaching”. I’ll miss you tremendously. You have fought the fine fight of faith and I will continue my fight til we can hug again in paradise!
